Why did you join the Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce?
To be more involved with the community and to encourage younger generations to become business owners through sharing my own story.
How are you involved with the community?
HQHC is a certified participant in the Spare the Air Employer Program; we help reduce air pollution by encouraging clean air practices at work, educating employees, and spreading the word when Spare the Air Health Alerts are issued.
HQHC has received the Sunnyvale Green Business Certification for demonstrating to the community environmental responsibility through compliance, resource conservation and pollution prevention. Additionally, we offer the use of green friendly cleaning products for our customers.
I have also volunteered to donate my time to assisting teachers with organizing events at San Miguel Elementary School.
I am extremely grateful and proud to serve the Community of Sunnyvale.
What is something people may not know about your business?
Back in 2016, on top of being a business owner, I was a single mother with a 10-year-old son. When I picked up my son from school, I would bring him to my office. One day, he looked up at me and noticed how exhausted I was from working 7 days a week. He asked, “Why do you work so hard, Mama?” then he said, “I have an idea... Mama, I’m going to take care of the warehouse work while you take care of the office work.” We made a great team.
Over the years, I’ve learned that building a business is far from easy, but with determination, risk taking and vision, I have found that anything is possible. It feels great to be able to help people by providing job opportunities and by serving the community through our field of work. Not only do we clean, but we give people the gift of having more free time to spend with their families.
