Chamber Spotlight: Hobee’s in Sunnyvale

Meet Camille Chijate, President of Hobee's, Chamber Member

Hobee’s customers have always enjoyed fast and friendly service in a casual atmosphere. An integral part of our Sunnyvale community, Hobee’s often donated sheets of their world-famous blueberry coffeecake to local 5Ks, school walk-a-thons, fundraisers, and more. While COVID-19 restrictions changed all that, the Hobee’s team continued to focus on being the good. In the early weeks of the pandemic, Hobee’s took the time to donate food to local hospital staff, as well as feed the underserved in our community. During the wildfires in the fall, the restaurant fed displaced families for free for two weeks. It was around this time, Hobee’s also started shipping coffeecake all around the country right from the Sunnyvale store. A great way to boost revenue during the lockdowns, Hobee’s remains an inspiring symbol of how businesses can adjust and rise to the occasion while supporting the community, even during uncertain times.

“We are really proud of our team at Hobee's Sunnyvale,” said Camille Chijate, President of Hobee’s California Restaurants. “It is not in the downtown area nor on El Camino Real, and yet it always feels like it is a part of what is "going on" in Sunnyvale. Filled with soccer teams on tournament weekends, tech workers during the week, concert goers when there are shows at Shoreline, families, and regulars, and Niner fans on their way to games. It's a great community!”

We encourage you to stop by Hobee’s at 800 West Ahwanee Avenue or visit https://hobees.com/ to place an order today and see what the blueberry coffeecake buzz is all about!
