Sunnyvale Public Art Update
Master Plan Updated
The Master Plan for Public Art was adopted by Council in November 2020.
Along with the approval are a few exciting updates:
- $50,000 allocated from the Public Art Fund for Utility Box Art (coming Spring 2021)
- Increased percent for art requirement for private development from 1% to 2%, creating more funding for public art projects
- Development of a public art website featuring a photo gallery and interactive map (coming March 2021)
- Improved process for how the City will spend its Public Art Fund monies
- Community survey to help prioritize new projects to align with the community’s vision
